TANUVAS Alumni Meet

The year 2011 has been designated as World Veterinary Year in salutation to the significant contributions made by veterinarians for the past 250 years. To commemorate this event, Tamil Nadu Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Chennai has planned to conduct a “Science Exhibition” at Madras Veterinary College from 29th July to 1st August, 2011.

•To highlight the contributions made by the veterinarians in the field of Animal
Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences and society at large.

• To attract the young school children towards this noble profession

• To disseminate the technologies developed that are useful for animal and

All constituent units of TANUVAS including Madras Veterinary College, Veterinary  College and Research Institute, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Institute of Food and Dairy Technology, the Directorates and University Departments will exhibit their activities and achievements.

It is expected that the industry associated with Livestock and Poultry would exhibit the products developed for the benefit of the public including school and college students. Though the whole year (2011) has been designated as World Veterinary Year with various events planned to be conducted thro’ out the year, Exhibition, Livestock and PetShow and industry oriented exhibitions will be held from 29th July to 1st August, 2011.It is also planned to host an ALUMNI MEET at Madras Veterinary College campus on 30th July, 2011 (Saturday). TANUVAS Alumni from all the four institutions namely Madras Veterinary College, Chennai, Veterinary College and Research Institute,Namakkal, Fisheries College and Research Institute, Tuticorin, Institute of Food and Dairy Technology, Koduvalli are invited to participate and grace the occasion. 

Those of you, who are interested in attending the ALUMNI MEET and cherish your memories of Alma mater, are requested to kindly fill up the Registration form and enclose a DD in favour of the General Secretary, TANUVAS Alumni Association,Chennai, for Rs. 1000/- (Rs. One Thousand only). Morning and afternoon tea and lunch will be provided to the participants. The participants are requested to fill up and send the registration form by post to send to the following address:
